Rotary type Drag Bits are used for the same manner and for the same purpose as Steel Milled Tooth Rock Bits, except that they are limited to softer formations generally. They are, in most cases cheaper than Rock Bits. The cutting profile may be flat, chevron or stepped according to application. They may be used in air or fluid flush. Drag Bits follow the path of least resistance. They cut very fast but will experience more drilling deviation than from using a tri-cone drill bit. 4 Blade bits are generally more user friendly to the drill rigs as there are more cutting blades on the cutting surface to give a more smoother cut.
Drag Bits Functional Features :
Rock Bits for shot –hole, core, slim hole, blast hole, and water well drilling. Carbide Drag Bits have been developed over a period of years to give the driller a bit with the most effective cutting and still meet today’s foot per minute demands.
All Bits are one piece construction of alloy steel forged or cast with Carbide cutting tips and gauge sides to insure long life through the toughest drilling formations.
All Carbide tips are silver soldered to the bit wing by a special process to insure a strong bond that will not shear or break when drilling through the hardest Rock.
Because of the large flow course, the drag bit is suitable either for air or fluid drilling and does not subtract from the bits strength .
For Maximum footage and long life, The Drag Bit Carbide insert, - one piece bit- will give you better drilling results.
We sell regular and special type bits which are sold and in use all over the world.
